Imperium Global safely returns to our office in London
“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”
I’ve been thinking about this quote by Henry Ford for several months now. It is so true that teamwork, dedication and responsibility have been everything so far in 2020.
Like so many other businesses, my team and I at Imperium Global have had to adjust massively to everything that coronavirus has thrown at us. I wrote a few months back about how our team had risen to the immediate challenges of working from home and liaising with clients virtually.
While the attitude and efforts of my employees has been exemplary, I cannot deny that I was worried at the beginning of this pandemic. As a relatively new business, we were beginning to make real waves in the global market, and a disruption like this one had the potential to be incredibly dangerous.
Despite all of the ups and downs, however, I am incredibly pleased to announce that we have safely returned to our offices in London, with all employees working full-time. We are back!
We have all learnt so much over the last few months, and while working from home has had its benefits, motivating one another and sharing valuable experiences is vital in a performance-based environment.
Ahead of our return to (somewhat) normal working life, we made a number of changes to make sure that our staff are working as safely as possible, including:
- Expanding our office space so employees can follow social distancing guidelines
- Running reduced working hours for all employees
- Providing cycle-to-work schemes for employees
- Allowing flexible and remote working where possible.
As a result, our team is seeing increased productivity and higher performance levels as well as better collaboration, idea sharing and enjoyment.
We have also grown stronger as a team during lockdown. Our weekly internal newsletters full of updates, memes and challenges, as well as regular messages in our WhatsApp group have kept spirits high. This has been fantastic, but seeing my team back in action at the office is irreplaceable as a business founder.
Looking ahead to the future, I have no doubts that we will use this experience as a positive. We are incredibly excited to continue along with our growth strategy for 2020, and have six confirmed new hires starting on our graduate scheme in September.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without my inspiring group of employees at Imperium. You are all a credit to yourselves and to the business. I could not ask for a better group of people to work with.
On a final note, now that we are back up and running at our London office, I want to challenge my employees to really push on for the rest of the year. 2020 may have been disrupted at the start, but if we all work together, I have no doubts that we will finish it stronger than ever.
Imperium Global are looking for tenacious, sales-driven graduates to join us at our London office in 2020. If you think you’re up to the challenge, please contact me today.
